How to Make Money Selling Ringtones (6 Steps)

Get a website. Do this by buying services from a web hosting company such as Blue Host, iPage or Fat Cow. Whatever service you pick, make sure that it is one that allows you to have unlimited traffic. In choosing a domain name, pick something that will appeal to a specific group of consumers.
Open a PayPal account for your website to pay into. PayPal offers services specifically tailored to suit the needs of Internet businesspeople.
Become an affiliate with a content service. It would be basically impossible for you to directly sell copyrighted ringtones on your own, as the publishers do not freely license third parties to sell their songs. This content service will give you a percentage of every ringtone sold through your website.
Pick songs that appeal to the same consumer group that you were aiming to target when you chose your domain name. For instance, if you are targeting teenage girls, pick songs that teenage girls tend to like. If you are targeting snowboarders, pick songs that snowboarders enjoy.
Start an advertising program. The simplest way of doing this is going through a pay-per-click service, such as those offered by Google and Yahoo. Many web hosting companies will give you free points for Google and/or Yahoo advertising. Put a few hundred dollars more into the advertising program on top of this. Another way of increasing traffic to your site is by going to Internet communities or blogs that appeal to your consumer base and posting links.
Continue updating your site. Post new songs, pictures and written content regularly, and find other things to sell as well. This will keep your visitors coming back.

Making Money With Google Trends

Register a blog or website, and monetize your Internet space with Google Adsense. This step is will neither cost you money nor will it be time consuming. In fact, Google offers users free blogs with its Blogger publishing platform, as does Wordpress. If you register for the Google Adsense program, you can arrange for small advertisements to appear on chosen webpages. Any time that visitors click on these ads, you will receive a certain amount of money. (These amounts vary depending on which ad is clicked and how much each advertiser is willing to pay site owners to promote its services.)
Refer to constantly updated data on Google Trends. The beauty of Google Trends is that it functions in almost real-time. This service provided by Google seeks to track user interest in common search terms. Thus, if you enter the words 'make money,' you will presented with a line graph that will chart the popularity of this term over the span of several years. However, by comparison, a search for the term 'making money' reveals a lower search volume. Thus, if you are trying to decide which of these terms to include in a blog post, you may want to use 'make money,' since it will probably bring more visitors to your blog and those visitors may decide to click on your Adsense ads.
Use Google Trends to assess your competition. In addition to supplying data about common search terms, Google Trends will also give you information about websites. This is valuable to you if you are seeking to make money with Google Trends, since you can discover how your competition is performing. Perhaps the websites you are studying have experienced peaks of traffic in the past, but have declined in popularity in the last few months. Thus, data from this application will help to remove mystery from the websites and allow you to see how they tick.
Gauge the value of time in Google Trends data. Time is a vital factor in advertising, and Google Trends is the best place to look if you are trying to assess the popularity of particular keywords over time. When choosing keywords for your writing, choose words with staying power, and not simply words that are popular for a few days before disappearing from the radar of Internet users. Study data and try to infer reasons why certain terms rise and fall in popularity.
Examine data on regions, cities or language to learn about the makeup of your audience. When you use keywords in your writing, you are targeting your work to specific readers. Ideally, these readers are English-speaking; however, they may speak other languages depending on the keywords you use. For example, Google Trends states that nearly as many people from Japan are entering term 'iPod' in Google search bars as from the United States. The more you know about your audience, the more you can target this audience with keyword-rich articles.

How to Make Money From Paid Market Research

Decide on the type of paid market research you would like to use. Paid research is anything from surveys to mystery shopping. You can also participate in paid focus groups. One of the easiest and fastest ways to make money online is by finding a legitimate website where you can take paid online surveys. There are some paid online survey websites claiming to pay up to $100 or more to complete a survey. It's important to be very careful what site you choose for paid market research. Instead of paid market research, check out the FREE website in the resources section below. When you go there, fill in the sign-in box near the bottom of the page to get started. It's safe to use and you can use it to earn a part time or full time income from home.
Search the classifieds in your local newspaper for paid market research options that might be available. You might find some companies with attractive paid research studies. Besides market research paid surveys, they might also be advertising incentives for participating in paid focus groups. A paid focus group can either meet in-person locally, or online. Sometimes these can have higher pay-out's than your regular paid online surveys that you complete at home. Regardless, be cautious and find out about each of the companies before you spend any time giving your opinions and never pay to participate in paid market research.
Search online for paid research options. As I mentioned before, market research paid surveys are the fastest and easiest ways to make money online. Anyone 18 years of age or older can take them and make money. There are hundreds of paid market research surveys on the internet, but you should choose them wisely. You can find sites that claim to pay as much as $100 or more to complete a survey, but most only pay $.50 - $10 per survey. If you look around online long enough, you may find a high paying paid focus group or other paid market research companies with nice incentives.
Diversify your paid market research options to maximize your earnings online. Try and use more than one, whether it's paid online surveys or paid focus groups. Then you can see which ones make the most money. Look for legitimate paid focus groups online and other legit market research studies with bigger incentives. Try each one to see which ones pay the most. Be persistent if you want to make any decent money with paid research. The more times you take paid online surveys or participate in paid focus groups, the more invitations you will receive from these companies.

How to Earn Money with Pay To Click

SAFETY FIRST! If you don't already have your computer protected, go to http://pack.google.com and get yourself a copy of Spyware Doctor. It is a free product. Download it and set it up to run once a day to make sure you don't pick up any nasties.
Go to your search engine -- like google or yahoo -- and type in 'pay to click sites' or 'PTC sites'. You will find reviews of many sites and you can decide which ones to join.
GET PAID! Most of the sites will pay you to either your Paypal account or your AlertPay account. These accounts are free and you can transfer your earnings from them right to your bank account.
Bookmark your PTC sites and visit them once or twice a day. Click the ads and remember to request payout once you have reached the required number of clicks.
You can earn more by referring your friends. When they register using your special link, and they click an ad, you will receive a tiny bonus for each one of their clicks. Kind of like free money! :)

How to Earn Extra Money Online

Sign up for paid email programs. While you won't make a lot of money this way, every little bit adds up. Some that I've used are: Hits4Pay, SendEarnings and InboxDollars.
Some of the paid email programs also offer paid survey opportunities. It does sometimes take a while to qualify for surveys, but one survey can pay anywhere from a dollar to twenty (and sometimes more!). Be aware when signing up for some of these programs though. Some are just scams and won't really pay you anything.
Do you shop online? Chances are you do. Sign up for MyPoints.com where you will get rewarded with points for every purchase or sometimes every dollar you spend online. While this isn't exactly money, you can use these points for gift certificates to your favorite places, that's almost like money!
Write copy. That is, write articles for different online companies. Believe me, you don't need a degree in Creative Writing to get paid for online articles. It does help though! :) This site, eHow.com and AssociatedContent.com are the two that I use primarily. There are others out there too. Just make sure to understand the Terms of Service. Do you retain copyright? How much are they really paying you? etc.
