How to Find Products That Fill A Niche To Sell Online

One way to find niche products is to look at accessories an product. For example, IPOD. They use plastic case covers and earphones. The IPOD itself is not replaced but people do change case cover (color, design, etc.) and this can include earphones. You get the idea. Just start looking you will come up tons of items that have accessories attached to them.
Go on line and start typing in products or words related to selling on line. You will be surprised at what comes up. If you do this thru Google once you have pulled up the information that you want look to the middle left of the page and there will be a number (1-10,000,000) that tells you that the item has 10,000,000 hits. Translated that means a lot of people are looking at it. That also tells you there is a market & profit there you just have to find it.
You can also research eBay to find what is selling. Go to eBay and type in the item. When it comes up scroll down the left side of the page and click completed listings. That will tell you how many items actually sold and what they sold for. The information can help you eliminate items and pick ones that people are actually looking for.
Next you have to find a source to get the products. You want to get as close to the manufacturer as you can. This gives you the best price. You have to look at a lot of products to find a couple that will work for you. I personally like ThomasNet.com First it's free. They list manufactures or wholesalers in the USA. They list by products or states. And you can compare up to 4 listings at a time. Good Luck!

How to Make Quick Money by Selling the Stuff in Your House

The first step in making money selling your 'junk' is to decide what it is you want to sell. Just to scratch the surface, consider selling clothing, sports equipment, furniture, collectibles, designer items, DVDs, electronics, video games, appliances, toys, books, home goods, etc.
It is very important that the items you choose to sell are in clean, working condition. Be sure to fully inspect and clean everything. Doing so will not only increase the amount of money you get for the item, but it will prevent conflicts with buyers.
Now that you've determined what you have to sell, it's time to estimate how much the re-sell value of each item will be. This is an important step because it will help you choose how and where you will sell it. For example, you would be more likely to sell a valuable trading card on eBay than at a yard sale because you will make more on eBay with such an item. I recommend making a list of the items you have to sell. Next to the name of each item on your list, jot down what your guess on the resale value of the item is. Consider that gently used items like clothing, toys, home goods, etc will most often sell at about 1/3 of their original price. If you're unsure of what an item would sell for, head over to eBay.com and do a search for 'completed items' to see what items like yours have sold for in the past. Other places to search for resale value would be amazon.com and of course, Google.
Next you need to be aware of your options as to where to sell. The first, and possibly most successful option, is online. You are reaching more buyers online, and they are looking for exactly what you have. Selling items like collectibles, name brand clothing/bags/etc, electronics, DVDs, video games, baby gear, toys and more online can bring in top money. Two of the best places for selling online are eBay.com and craigslist.org. eBay charges a small listing fee and then a final value fee once the item sells. While this may seem like a downfall, it should be considered that eBay is offering a marketplace with the highest amount of traffic and highest potential for sales and value. In addition, eBay offers great security measures to not only ensure a more successful transaction. eBay also allows for the buyers to decide an items worth. You set a minimum bid and you will often be pleased to see the buyers will pay quite a bit more than your minimum. Craigslist is completely free and perhaps a better choice for large items like furniture and vehicles. Craigslist offers fewer security measures, so it is important that you protect yourself from fraudulent buyers. Craigslist will offer a higher amount of local buyers. Selling locally is beneficial because your buyers don't have to pay shipping charges and you don't have to figure out how to ship. I recommend taking advantage of the free membership for both of these sites and then reading what they have to offer. The more familiar you are with the sites, the more confident you will be in listing your items for sale there.
Another option for selling your items is through direct selling in local classified ads. This is effective for large items like furniture, cars/trucks, lawn equipments, etc. Set your price at about 1/3 to 1/2 of the price you paid for the item originally. Consider it's condition when deciding the price. If there are not many prospects for your items within the first few days, you should consider lowering your price. When selling through classified ads, please be sure to consider safety. Meet the buyer in a public location if possible. If not possible, be sure you have family or friends present when the buyer arrives to pay for and pick up the item.
You can also consider selling your items to your local consignment stores. Consignment stores are a great way to sell furniture, art, children's items, and sporting goods. You can expect the store owners to either pay you for the item upfront, or once the item sells. You will most likely be offered about 40% to 60% of what the items sells for in the consignment store. If they offer you less than what you think is fair, don't be afraid to decline the offer and take the item elsewhere.
There will always be yard sales! These are fantastic for household items, children's toys and clothing, kitchen gadgets, lawn supplies, crafting, etc. While you might price your items at about 25% of what you paid for the item, be prepared to encounter bargain shoppers asking for a price reduction. This commonly takes another 5-10% off your asking price. A great way to spice up your yard sale and the money you make is to offer baked goods and small cups of lemonade or iced tea. Try organizing your items by theme and be sure they are clean and presented with care. If it is thrown out front like it's junk, then people will want to pay for junk. It if is placed out there like an item of value, people will expect to pay for an item of value.
If you have loads of children's items to sell, be sure to ask around town about local children's consignment sales run by churches and other organizations. These sales are a great way to sell anything and everything baby, child, teen and maternity related. You will receive 50% to 70% of what your items sells for and the other percent goes towards the church and/or organization. You get to decide what the asking price is on the items, and you also get to pick up the items that do not sell or opt to donate them. A check is picked up or mailed to you at the end of the sale. So the perks here are many; you tag in the comfort of your home, you choose the price, part is donated to a good cause, you get back what doesn't sell, you're paid by a trustworthy location, etc. I highly recommend that my fellow mothers take advantage of these sales.

How to Make Money in a Fleamarket Business

Determine your target market. If you already have a product in mind, visit flea markets to make sure your product and that location are a good fit for each other. If used items are popular at a particular flea market, do not attempt to sell expensive new handbags.
Do not sell products that are already being sold in abundance. Try to be unique. If you notice several young mothers shopping at the flea market, consider selling children's items if they are not being sold.
Ask questions. Find out as much as possible about particular flea markets. Ask specific questions about booth rates and flea market hours. Ask vendors how long they have been selling at that flea market. If vendors indicate they have been selling merchandise at a flea market for an extended period of time, consider renting booth space. If the same vendors continuously set up in a location, the vendors are probably making money.
Determine set up procedure. Outdoor flea markets normally require vendors set up and pack daily. Indoor flea markets sometimes allow vendors to leave items overnight. Make sure you know all details prior to committing to a booth.
Advertise your booth. Let friends and family know about your venture. If it is allowed, consider placing a small classified advertisement in the local newspaper. This will be a good idea if you are selling used items. List your booth under garage sales. This could result in weekly visits from serious yard sale shoppers.

How to Make Money Online With Affiliate Programs and No Money

In this article I'm going to show you how to make money online with affiliate programs without spending any money on marketing or a website. If you've ever tried marketing an affiliate program before, you know that it usually takes alot of traffic in order for them to work. I will be teaching you how to use the powerful SEO capabilities of blogs combined with the awesome domino effects of social bookmarking sites to generate the necessary traffic to your blog pages in order to get affiliate sales and hence make money online without spending any money.
The first thing you'll want to do is setup a blog which you can do for free at Blogger.com,Wordpress.com,Livejournel.com. There's actually tons of free blog hosting websites. If I had to recommend one it would be wordpress, but that's because its the one I personally use for my blog. You can also do a Google search on 'Free Blog' and you'll definitely find what you need. After that you'll just follow the instructions from the blog host you choose, in order to get it setup. I know Wordpress offers alot of free templates that you can immediately use,and have your blog up in just minutes.
The next thing you'll want to do is find some good paying affiliate programs. You can find a ton of them at affiliatescout.com for any industry that you like or you can do a good ole Google search for them as well. For those of you who don't know what affiliate programs are. Affiliate programs are put together by companies in order to help promote whatever it is they're selling and when you sign up for them they give you what is called an affiliate link that's coded with your information so when somebody clicks on it and purchases a product or service from that site, you the affiliate get a certain percentage of that sale.
Once you find an affiliate program you like, the trick is to write a good informative, keyword rich article on the product or service you're trying to promote with your affiliate links placed within it. You can place it in the middle of your article copy, in certain spots or at the end. Whichever you feel comfortable with.Just make sure its in there somewhere. The reason you want to do it this way is so that Google will rank it high for the keywords you're wanting it to come up in. In other words you want your blog entry that you just wrote to end up on the front page or as close to it as possible for what ever it is you're writing about to get the most traffic. For example let's say you've signed up with an affiliate program that rents movies out online. A good idea would be to write about the benefits of renting movies online and then at the end point out how the particular company that you're promoting would be the best one to go with and then provide your affiliate links at the end.
Now, for the promotion part of it. You 'll first want to go to blogsearch.google.com/ping and submit your blog url address. Do this everytime you write a new post. This will help you get it indexed in Google very quickly in order to get free traffic. The next promotional tactic is to submit your blogpost to social bookmark sites - Digg.com,Mixx.com,Reddit.com,and Propellar.com because Google crawls these sites 24 hours a day. It will go though there and pick up your blog post.If it's keyword rich and informative it will get indexed within 24 hours conservatively speaking, but usually within a couple of hours. Not just indexed though, but indexed on the first or second page for the keyword searches of your post which will generate a ton of free traffic back to your site. I will admit this doesn't work everytime, but it has worked more times than it has not, and that's usually because I didn't get it right on point. For the most part if you write a good informative, keyword rich post it will get indexed to the first or second page of Google under your keywords. Because Google is an information provider, and if you provide it with good information it will reward you by ranking your post to the top or front of it's page index because it will think that your post is the best solution to the person's query or search request. Then this will likely lead to a ton of targeted traffic to your site for the article post you just wrote and increase the likelyhood that your affiliate links will get clicked on, and then them purchasing from your affilate site thus making you money.
This doesn't always work perfectly, but it works most of the time and is the best way I know to make money online with affiliate programs without spending any of your own money. Also there are a ton more social bookmarking sites, and they can be found at socialmarker.com. You can submit to all of them and increase your exposure. The ones I listed above are the ones I've found to be the most effective for quick results, though. I also chose the blog method because they are very search engine friendly and help to give you good page rankings on Google and other search engines.

How to Make Money Selling Used Jeans

First, you need to go through your closet and see what jeans you need to get rid of. Make a pile on your bed and set every pair out that you feel you need to let go.
Going through each pair of jeans, take a minute to take a picture of the jeans. I usually take a picture of them laying out, and any photos of holes there are in the pair.
Document any holes there might be in your notebook. What I mean is make sure you can tell your buyer about how big the hole is and describe if it is a rip, tear or hole from wear. Keep in mind, the more holes the merrier when it comes to selling jeans (it is a gothic thing.)
Once you have your jeans out and ready, you need to post them online. You can easily post them on Craigslist for free. This is a quick write up of an ad and photos. Ask that the people pay in cash and arrange to meet them in a public place.
The fastest way to sell jeans is in a lot of same size jeans. This way the buyer will purchase all the jeans at the same time.
Pricing the old jeans depend on the type of jeans are in your closet. The American Eagle, Levis and top of the line can easily be $10 a piece. Other lower label recognition are around $3 to $7
If you are feeling really excited about the possibilities of cash, consider putting up an ad on Ebay.com to get the most out of your jeans. Buyers bidding them up, you will see your lot of jeans get a lot more cash than if you just sold the lot for one price on craigslist.

How to Find Easy Ways for a 13

Ask friends of the family if they need babysitting services. If a 13-year-old is mature, she might be able to babysit younger children. Even if she cannot babysit by herself, she can earn money by supervising children while there are other adults around. She can play with the young children, read them books, help them with homework or put them to bed while their parents are entertaining or are busy with other tasks.
Open a lemonade stand. This is a classic way for kids to make money, but it still holds. If selling lemonade seems too old-fashioned or babyish to your teen, try variations, like selling canned sodas or fruit juices or homemade baked goods.
Ask friends and neighbors if they have chores your child can do, such as weeding, mowing lawns, painting, house-cleaning or washing cars. Tech-savvy teens can help older folks set up and troubleshoot their computers, or do tech-related tasks like scanning old documents or photos into digital files. Pet lovers can walk dogs or be pet-sitters.
Look into tutoring opportunities. A 13-year-old could tutor younger children in basic skills. Contact elementary schools and tutoring centers to see what opportunities are available.
If your kid is a good artist or craftsperson, set up an account with a site like Etsy so that she can try to sell her creations.

How to Earn Money Selling Your Cookies (5 Steps)

Determine your business options. You can either sell your cookies from home or set up a physical business. Selling from home is less costly, but requires more marketing and promotion. If you choose to set up a physical business, consider mall vending carts, rather than a brick-and-mortar business, at least to start off. Vending carts can cost thousands of dollars per month, so make sure you have the necessary capital before starting the venture.
Expand your business by baking different kinds of cookies and offering various packages. The types and amount of cookies you sell depend on the type of business you run. For example, if you're selling cookies from home, focus on selling boxes of cookies. If you're selling them from a vending cart, offer customers the option of purchasing single cookies and boxes.
Promote your business. Hand out leaflets to friends and family, create an advertising campaign and offer deals to bring in new customers. For example, you could create a cable TV advertisement; quickly explain what you offer; and tell listeners if they order a dozen chocolate chip cookies before a predetermined date, they will receive a half dozen peanut butter cookies for free.
Ask for feedback. With each sale, include a small survey. The survey should ask for the customer's favorite cookie, his opinion of the cookies he purchased, what your business could do better, and whether he'd recommend your business to his friends and family. Study each survey and adjust your business accordingly.
Bake seasonal cookies. Offering seasonal items serves as a promotional and sales tool. It garners interest in your product, because you're offering something that's only found during a certain time of year, so people are naturally more curious to try it out. For example, between fall and winter, you could offer pumpkin cookies, and for winter, you could offer a variety of decorated holiday cookies.

How to Make Extra Money Selling Hot Dogs

One of the first things you'll need is a great location. Choose a location that has traffic so you can make sure there are plenty of customers to buy your wares. Locations near parks, office buildings and construction sites are often some of the best for this type of business.
Instead of selling the traditional length hot dogs from your hot dog carts, sell the bun-size hot dogs. You can significantly increase the money you make just going with the slightly larger size but not having to go with the foot-long hot dogs. Bun-size dogs cost less than foot-long dogs, so may be able to increase your profits this way.
Perfect your hot dog recipes on your hot dog carts. The more fixings and recipes you have to offer your customers, the more often they'll come back. Not only that, they will let others know about your location.
One of the best ways to make extra money selling hot dogs is with the add-ons or extras that you offer to your customers. You can bring in extra money each day by offering drinks, chips and desserts as extras.

How to Become a Vendor for Prepaid Debit Cards

Decide who you will target with your marketing activities. Teenagers and college students are a good target market because they normally cannot qualify for credit cards and may not qualify for a checking account debit card, but they need a card to use for online purchases. Parents providing spending money for their children and people budgeting their purchases find these cards extremely helpful. Businesses employing a large number of laborers or foreign nationals are now using these cards to pay wages rather than distribute checks. Each of these types of users would require a different marketing approach so narrowing your target market will improve your chances of success.
Examine your business model including where you intend to locate your business and whether you will be selling out of a storefront to walk-in clientele or whether you will be calling on businesses to sell them the idea of using stored value cards for their payroll, incentive programs, and to control travel and entertainment expense. The costs of maintaining your store or office will have to be covered by the fees you will receive from selling these cards, so be careful to establish how much you will receive on the sale of each card and, if you intend to set up a store, make sure it is in a location that is likely to attract walk in business.
Contact issuers of stored value cards and compare their various programs. You will find significant differences in their support, vendor procedures, fees and liability provisions. Not all issuers are banks and not all stored value card programs are the same. Look at the offerings in local stores to see which are the most popular cards among vendors. Make a note of the issuers of those cards and contact as many as possible while doing your research.
Ask vendors of stored value cards for their advice and recommendations for good reliable issuer programs. If an issuer goes out of business all the cards that have been issued will likely be worthless and the people who bought cards from you will look to you for repayment, so you must make sure to do business with the most reliable and creditworthy issuer you can find. Experienced vendors will be able to warn you of pitfalls to avoid.
Research the liability issues you will encounter such as lost cards, transaction errors, faulty cards, merchant acceptance and the outlook for industry regulations. Make sure your issuer has policies that are beneficial to their vendors because unfavorable policies will directly impact your profits. The individual states have laws you will encounter such as escheat laws that govern how remaining balances may be treated on cards that have not been used for extended periods of time.
Select one issuer to work with and start out as small as possible. An attorney can help you fully understand any contracts or other documents you may be asked to sign. Take advantage of any training the issuer may offer and test the marketing programs till you understand the business and can evaluate their effectiveness.

How to Develop Your Own Multi

Choose the product or service that you wish to sell. While there are hundreds of network marketing companies that promise to make you a millionaire overnight, you will want to ensure that the opportunity is legitimate. Study the company and look for feedback online, and speak with current distributors to learn about their success. Some large network marketing companies with strong track records are Mary Kay cosmetics, Amway, Herbalife and Avon.
Learn about, use and become a brand ambassador for the products you are selling. People can tell the difference between those who are passionate about their products and those who are just trying to close a sale. Your genuine love of your business will ensure your success. For example, if you are selling cosmetics, use them. Always have samples with you, so that if someone compliments you, for instance, on your perfume, you can use the opportunity to make a potential contact.
Make a contact list. The most successful network marketing professionals start with a list of 100 people in their friends, family and personal network. Think about people who you think can benefit from your products, and also those people whom you believe would benefit from the business opportunity. Once your list is created, mark each person as cold, warm or hot. Cold leads are people you do not know very well or at all. Warm leads are those whom you know fairly well. Hot leads are the people you think could most benefit from your business.
Develop your presentation. Always be ready to answer questions about your company and the products and services you are promoting. Your presentation is your one chance to persuade a potential customer, and a potential seller. To create a successful multi-level marketing plan, you need both. Your presentation should get potential buyers excited about buying your products, but should also pique their interest regarding selling the products on your team.
Set goals and activity plans and stick to them. Successful network marketing does not happen by waiting for customers to knock on your door. It involves you being out and present, always working to gain customers and business partners. Look for trade shows, craft fairs, and other places where you can sell your products, and join networking groups where you can meet potential business partners. Once you begin to have individuals working for you, be sure to work with them to set goals. To succeed in network marketing, you and your team must always be selling.
