How to Play Facebook's FarmVille Game (6 Steps)

If you have a friend with a FarmVille (FV) account, you can click 'Play FarmVille Now!' on any of their FV related posts. If not, click on this link (you must sign in to your Facebook account first): http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/index.php. FV will ask you to create a character. You can customize your farmer's features and then begin playing!
Once a crop is ready to harvest, you simply click on it and your farmer will harvest it. When you hover over the empty plot, it will let you know that it is now 'fallow land' that you can click on to plow. Plowing one plot costs 15 coins and earns you one experience point (XP). Click again on this plowed plot and you will be given a list of seeds to choose from. Pay attention to how much each costs (to make sure you have enough coins to purchase the quantity you'd like to buy) and how long each takes to harvest. If you are heading to bed, for example, you don't want to choose strawberries, which only take 4 hours to harvest. When you wake up in the morning, your crops will be wilted and you will not earn any profits from them.
Be sure to visit your friends' farms each day! You will be helping them and also helping yourself. When you fertilize their crops, you may find extra fuel and you receive coins and XP. If they have a chicken coop, feed their chickens and you will receive coins and XP, plus you may find a bonus egg to hatch for a prize. In addition, it will encourage them to return the favor and visit your farm. Fertilized crops earn extra XP and well-fed chickens earn extra coins!
One of the most fun aspects of FV is giving and receiving gifts! In order to do this, you must first have neighbors. Invite all your friends because each neighbor you have provides more opportunities for coins and XP. Once you have neighbors, click on 'Free Gifts' in the tabs at the top of the game. Choose a gift (again, which gifts you are able to send depends on the level of the game you are currently at) and click 'Proceed to send.' Choose which friend(s) you want to send the gift to and you're all set.
** One thing that many people overlook is that you must accept your friends' gift requests before you can use them. When you have a gift request, you will see 'Farmville Gift Request' in the top, right-hand corner of your Facebook homepage (NOT your FarmVille page). Click on this and it'll show you which gifts you have been given. Click to accept these gifts and then you will see them in the gift section of your FV toolbar.
New features are being added to Farmville all the time. Click on 'Specials' in the market section to see what the new deal of the day is. You can also recruit friends to help you build buildings such as a horse stable and larger chicken coops. You can now join or start a co-op, where you have a limited amount of time to seed and harvest a particular crop to earn extra XP and coins.
Lastly, if you're given the reward of a Farmhand or Arborist, consider yourself lucky and take advantage of their services! The Farmhand will harvest all your livestock in an instant and the Arborist will harvest all your trees instantly. Use their services wisely by waiting until all (or most) of your livestock or trees are ready to be harvested and then voila! You are done farming for the day.

How to Earn a Secondary or Passive Income

First grab a pen and a piece of paper. At the top write down your unique situation such as: 'I am a broke college students that needs $200 extra a month for my car payment.' OR 'I am a stay at home mom with small children that could use $400 extra a month.' Whatever your situation write it down!
Take a cold, hard look at your schedule. Is your schedule flexible enough to allow you to work one, two, or three days a week? What about a few hours in the afternoon? What about weekends? Can you work nights?
Sit back and consider what you're good at. Can you cook? Do you like to clean? Can you help tutor people? Can you keep children? Are you good with people? Do people always comment on how organized you are? Do you like to write? Write it down!
Take inventory! Is there anything you can sell? Are there any services you can offer such as babysitting, pet sitting, house sitting, answering phones, organizing files, freelance writing, house cleaning, or cooking meals? Could someone use your services? Try advertising with flyers at your local grocery store and see what kind of responses you get!!
Consider if you can rent anything such as a spare bedroom, your basement, even your garage! People are always looking for an inexpensive place to live!
Get creative! What do you like to do? Paint? Well, why not sell your artwork over the internet? Do you like to cook? Why not cook a few meals a week and see if anyone would like to buy? You'd be surprised at how often a secondary business or hobby often becomes an excellent source of primary income! Keep your mind open to all kinds of possibilities! There are hundreds of ways to make a legal, secondary income!!

How to Calculate Vacation Time Earned in Work Businesses

Review personnel policies and union contracts to identify the annual vacation benefits for the job classification. The policy will typically state that a managerial employee with up to five years of service earns 10 days per year, with up to 15 years of service earns 15 days per year and after 15 years of service earns 20 days per year.
Identify the rate used by your company to calculate the total hours in a year. Most companies use 2,080---factored by multiplying 40 hours per week by 52 weeks---although some organizations use 2,087, which is the actual amount averaged over time, including leap years.
Verify if the vacation is paid only on hours actually worked, or if employees earn vacation time while on leave. In most cases, the employee will earn vacation while on vacation. In this case, you will not need to perform any additional calculation. However if the vacation is earned only on hours worked, deduct the amount of annual vacation from the total annual hours. For example, an employee earning 10 days vacation per year would deduct those 10 days---or 80 hours---from a total of 2,080 days in the year, to get a new figure of 2,000.
Multiply the number of days of vacation by eight to get the total annual amount in hours. Then divide that amount by 2,080---or adjusted amount, if vacation is only earned on hours worked---to get the hourly accrual rate. For example, an employee eligible to earn 10 days per year would calculate the hourly accrual as follows: 10 x 8 = 80; 80 / 2,080 = 0.038461538461538 per hour.
Calculate the accrual rate per day by multiplying the hourly accrual rate by 8. Obtain the weekly rate by multiplying the hourly accrual rate by 40, and get the biweekly pay period rate by multiplying the hourly rate by 80.

How to Convert Hours to College Units Earned (3 Steps)

Add the time that you spend in class during one week of a particular class. If you haven't begun a class yet or are simply inquiring, ask the registrar or other qualified personnel.
Equate the total hours that you spend in class each week to the amount of college units that you will earn for that class. For example, if a class meets for an hour on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, you would earn 3 units for the successful completion of that class.
Consult a college employee involved in academic affairs to find out the specific policy for your college. Although weekly hours usually has a direct relationship to units earned, your academic institution might have a different system.

How to Earn a Side Income Online (5 Steps)

The first main thing you need to do is figure out what kind of talents or hobbies you have and how you can utilize them online to earn some extra money. Everyone has some talents and hobbies so you just need to take some time to think about what things interest you most. Online income is nice because there is more flexibility associated with it, which leaves you in the driver's seat.
There are several sites that allow you to write and earn a passive income online. eHow is my favorite of these sites, but associated content, hubpages, squidoo, and helium are some other sites that some people like to use. These sites allow you to write about whatever it is you are most comfortable writing about and at whatever hours you wish. Lastly, sit back and watch the passive income come in.
One of the easier ways to make a little bit of money online in a short period of time is by signing up for paid survey or focus groups online. Paid survey companies are very easy, but you need to make sure the site you are signing up for is legitimate. Check online forums for others experiences on which companies are most worth your time. Also, don't forget about companies like Google, who do have nice focus groups from time to time.
Work from home data entry has been all the rage of late, and with flexible hours and decent pay rates one can understand why. One note of caution: never pay a company to become a data entry employee or you will likely never see a penny of that money back. The legitimate work from home data entry companies are swamped with applications and won't be desperate for help.
Want to help others learn about subjects you have lots of knowledge in? Become an online tutor. There are an increasing amounts of opportunities for online tutors and there are quite a few very legitimate companies paying for these services. It is always rewarding to earn a side income online while helping others!
