How to Insert an Affiliate Link Into a Wordpress Blog

After signing up for the affiliate program, (see the links in the resource box for great places to find programs), follow the advertiser's link to 'get links' or 'get html code' or whatever language they use. You need to get the code to insert into the blog. Some advertisers have different ads you can choose, so choose the one that looks like it will fit well in the sidebar of your theme.
Highlight, or select the code - all of it, It may be short, it may be as long as a paragraph. Right click on it and 'copy'.
Go to your blog and sign in to the wp-admin screen. In the list on the left, select 'appearance', then 'editor'. In the box that appears in the right, look for 'sidebar.php' and click on it. There may be a right or left sidebar (l_ sidebar.php or R_sidebar.php). The code for your sidebar will appear in the middle of the screen.
This part is trial and error unless you can really read the code. I usually start at the top and find a spot within the code that looks obvious, like one of the titles, or the first line that shows the header or beginning of the sidebar. Place your cursor at the end of the line, then enter to move it down a line and create a space. Then right click and paste the code there. Now click update and look at your main page to see what it looks like. If the placement is what you like, you're done. If not, go back to wp-admin and use 'cut and paste' to move it around.

How to Make Money with the Google Affiliate Program

Sign up with the Google Affiliate Network. Use the link in the resources section of this article. You'll have to enter basic information about yourself and your website. It may take a day or two to receive your acceptance email.
Log into your account. After you've been accepted, you can revisit the Google Affiliate Network site and log in.
Search for products or advertisers that fit your niche. For successful affiliate marketing, you need to match the right offer with your audience. For example, if your website is about camping, then you should look for companies that sell camping supplies. You can do this by clicking on either the 'Products' or 'Advertisers' buttons at the top of your screen.
Apply to the advertisers that interest you. Click on the small box next to the advertiser names, then click on the 'Apply to selected' button at the top of the screen. Some advertisers will approve you immediately, while others manually approve applicants.
Get the advertising code for your website. You can view a list of your approved advertisers under the 'Advertisers' and 'Approved' links. You can click on the 'Actions' button and scroll down to 'Get links.' This shows you the available ads.
Place the ad code on your website. If you're using a blog like WordPress, you can usually put it in a text-based widget. If you're using HTML, you'll need to modify the code to properly show the advertisement.
Monitor your advertising campaigns. If you aren't having success with a particular ad, swap it out for a different ad from the same company or change companies altogether.

How to Make Money With Car Magnets (8 Steps)

Investigate what local permits, if any, you'll need to have to start your own business. Most cities and counties require a vendor's license of some time before you can conduct sales within their jurisdiction. Your local Chamber of Commerce and the Secretary of State's office in your state can tell you exactly what you'll need. (Of course, a fee is required for the permit.)
Research magnetic car sign companies online and contact several possible suppliers for more information. Ask about pricing, delivery times and the types of artwork or computer files needed for the signs' production. Explain that you'll be selling advertising on your own car, and ask if they can mail you a sample that you can show potential customers. Also ask if they'll design your magnets for free. Your success in finding advertisers is their success is selling you more signs, so many will be eager to help you get started.
Decide how much you'll charge for your service. Don't forget to include the cost of having the sign made and shipped to you, and factor in the time it will take you to sign up each advertiser. Design your pricing with one month, three month and six month options, offering a discount for committing to longer advertising periods.
Write a basic contract that spells out the service you'll be providing, the starting date and period of the contract, and the pricing. (Local lawyers will usually provide free answers to basic legal questions over the phone, so don't hesitate to make a few calls to find out the details you'll need to know.) Include a requirement that your customers pay for at least one month of any contract up front to avoid being short-changed later by unscrupulous customers.
Have some basic business cards printed so you can hand them out to potential customers wherever you are. (Big-box office supply stores such as OfficeMax, Staples and Office Depot all print business cards inexpensively in just a few days.) Business cards will be especially valuable to leave with decision-makers as you're contacting local businesses, since they may need some time to consider your offer or may need your service at a later time. You may also consider designing a flyer that presents the details of your service for potential customers to refer to.
Start visiting local business owners or managers with whatever sales materials you've put together. Briefly introduce yourself, explain the terms of your service, show them a sample magnet if you have one available, and then ask them for their business. Whatever they're response, always thank them for their time and leave them some printed information if you have some---you never know when they'll think of you and want to get in touch.
Ask businesses who want to advertise with you to provide you with the artwork they'd like you to use for their magnet. Many businesses will create an ad to display in a few days or so, but others may look to you to create something for them. If so, don't panic---ask them what information they'd like to see included, then seek out a computer-savvy friend to help you create a design if you're not comfortable doing this yourself. (The sign company you're working with usually offers this service as well, but may charge an additional fee for it.)
Collect the up-front payment from your customer and return to show him the actual car sign you'll be using as soon as it arrives from your supplier. Start fulfilling your end of the contract immediately, and get back in touch with your customer a few weeks later to ask them about your visibility and results.

How to Get Companies to Advertise on Your Website

Fill your website with copy that is relevant to your subject matter and filled with appropriate keywords. For instance, if your website is about cooking, it should contain general keywords that are relative to cooking, such as 'cooking,' 'cooking tips,' 'recipes' and/or more specific keywords such as 'vegetarian cooking' or 'dessert recipes.' Use Google's keyword tool to find keywords relative to your site. These keywords will help you find relative advertisers
Sign up for a free account with Google AdSense, which is Google's advertising program that works with affiliated companies to automatically place advertising on your website.
Enter your website address and other information about your website, such as the primary language, your country, personal information, and PayPal account information. When your account setup is complete, Google will automatically place ads on your website that are relative to its content; for instance, a cooking website may have ads from Pampered Chef, Bed Bath and Beyond and Food Network. Every time a visitor clicks on a Google ad on your website, you earn money. Thus, it is important that your website is optimized for the search engines and receives a lot of traffic.
Search for an affiliate program to place additional ads on your site. Online services like Amazon.com's affiliate program work similar to Google AdSense. When you sign up with the Amazon affiliate program, ads for Amazon.com and Endless.com are placed on your website. You earn money every time a visitor clicks on an ad. The program is free and simply requires you to create an account to begin.

How to Start an Incentivized Freebie Website Business

Select a catchy, relevant and searchable name for your site, such as “Freeipods.com” and then verify that the domain name is available by visiting GoDaddy.com and checking availability. If available, purchase immediately, as domain names go quickly.
Sign up for a PayPal account at PayPal.com, if you do not already have one. Most online payments are made via PayPal.
Select a web host to host your site. Look for a web host with dedicated customer service, Google Adwords or Myspace advertising credits, ample bandwidth storage space, a business email address and free templates. Unless you are experienced in hypertext markup language and hypertext preprocessor, which is a type of script writing, consider purchasing a script, such as one offered from Myeasyscripts.com, to help you design an incentive website and to automate your site.
Join an affiliate program such as Commission Junction, Azoogle, clixGalore or Never Blue. Once accepted, browse the lists of advertisers to include on your site. Generally, you will need to be approved by each advertiser before you can put their ads on your site.
Develop an “About Us” page, a “Free Offers” page, a “Privacy” page, a “Terms and Conditions” page, a “Gifts” page and a “Log-in” Page, where customers must create a log-in in order to be able to sign up for offers. On your “About Me” or “Terms and Conditions” or 'FAQ' page, detail the requirements for obtaining credits, the credit amounts required for each type of prize and when users can expect to receive their free prize. Consider consulting with an attorney or reviewing other freebie websites when developing the policies expressed on these pages. Create a “Testimonials” page that allows satisfied customers to post pictures with their prize along with their testimonial.
Consult with an attorney, accountant and insurance agent to ensure that you have covered all legal and financial concerns in establishing your IFW. You will need a liability insurance policy; although your products are being “gifted,” you are still liable for any harm caused by a malfunctioning Xbox or other product. In order to obtain a policy, you will need to register your business with your county clerk. If possible, use your domain name as your business name and register your business with your county clerk’s office.
Advertise your site. Post links to your site on relevant forums where users are looking for freebie sites. Put a link to your site in your signature. Utilize Google Adwords, which is a program offered by Google that advertises on sites based on customer searches or location.
Allow 2 to 3 weeks as a buffer for shipping out your prizes. This gives you enough time to shop around for a deal on the prize that will be sent. If you have enough upfront capital, consider buying in bulk to save even more on your prizes. If you will offer many electronics, such as Nintendo Wiis and iPods, consider opening a rewards account at Best Buy or other electronic stores that give you points towards a store gift card for every dollar spent.
