How to Earn Money Scanning Grocery Store Items
Be a cashier, the most obvious way to make money scanning grocery items. You need to have good math and customer service skills to do this job. You should be able to quickly scan items while carrying on a polite conversation with the customer.
Get promoted from your cashier job to grocery store manager. Many managers start their careers scanning grocery items. Some companies track how quickly and efficiently their cashiers scan items, and seek out those who exceed company expectations for promotion.
Take inventory. Several large grocery chains hire independent companies to take inventory on a regular basis. As an employee for an inventory company, you scan the grocery items and reconcile the store numbers to your store numbers.
Work in the quality control department for a manufacturer of grocery items. You need to scan the items to ensure that they are up to company standards. This could include randomly testing items or visually scanning items as they pass by you on a conveyor belt.
Watch the scanner as a consumer. You can follow the age old adage, 'A penny saved is a penny earned.' It's fairly common for companies to put items on sale but miss changing the price in the scanning system, so watch for discrepancies. You can save money by paying attention and getting the correct price.

How to Get a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree at Once
Take graduate classes and enroll in courses that are numbered 500 or above as a graduate student, rather than as an undergraduate student. This is possible even if you are still working toward your Bachelor's degree. Complete the courses and receive graduate credit that can count toward your undergraduate degree.
Find a combined program. Seek a college or university in your field that offers a combined program that allows you to accomplish both degrees at the same time. Social work is a common field where this occurs, because social workers cannot do much with only a Bachelor's degree and they must have a Master's degree to be licensed.
Complete independent study. Speak with your adviser about your interest in obtaining both the Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the same time. Work with your adviser to develop an academic plan specifically tailored to your needs. Utilize independent study courses that allow you and your adviser to determine the content of the courses. This plan allows you to achieve your degrees simultaneously, as it is customized to fit the classes you need to complete both degrees at the same time.

How to Earn Money Teaching Elementary Students Online
Obtain a bachelor's degree. This will not be necessary for all online teaching opportunities, but it will be necessary if you plan on becoming a full-time online elementary school teacher. Most online teaching positions require that you have the same level of education as teachers who teach in the classroom in public schools in your state of residence. You do not necessarily have to pursue a degree in elementary education, but it is the easiest way to secure an online elementary teaching job.
Seek alternative or traditional teaching certification through your state's department of education. Certification is the process whereby the state examines your credentials and tests your knowledge of the field you intend to teach to determine your readiness to teach elementary school students. Traditional certification usually involves completing a teacher education program that is embedded in your bachelor's degree curriculum, followed by examinations testing your knowledge of elementary education. Alternative certification is similar, but usually involves completing the teacher education component after you have your bachelor's degree in addition to taking the certification exams. It is primarily designed for those who did not originally pursue a career in teaching.
Apply for online teaching positions. Online schools like K12 provide qualified teachers with an opportunity to work in a virtual classroom setting rather than teaching in the classroom. These positions often require that you have met all of the standards established by your state department of education including full teaching certification. They may also require three or more years of teaching experience, a high level of computer proficiency and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
Seek online tutoring positions. If you have an associate degree or bachelor's degree, or even a high school diploma with significant experience in an area that would be beneficial in elementary education, you may be eligible to become an online tutor. Online tutoring opportunities are offered through companies like Sylvan Learning and Tutor.com.
