How to Make Money Fishing in Hawaii (5 Steps)

Become a charter captain. This option requires the most equipment. However, it also offers the most income potential. As a charter captain, you derive income from both the charter fees you charge as well as from the fish you are able to sell commercially. To become a charter captain, you will need to obtain the appropriate licenses from the Coast Guard, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the State of Hawaii. The licenses will vary by your target species, the number of passengers you hope to carry, and the type of fishing you do.
Start a commercial fishing operation. Hawaii is a large consumer of fish, so there is definitely a commercial market for fish and seafood in the islands. Similar to a charter business, a commercial fishing operation is equipment-intensive. You will also require a license from the same entities as you would for a charter business. Unlike the charter business, you would spend more time fishing and less time trying to sell charter shares on your boat. A blended approach, in which you fish commercially on days when you have no charters, may be a good compromise between the two options.
Enter fishing tournaments. The islands of Hawaii are home to several large fishing tournaments, such as the Maui Jim Classic, that are known to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money. Despite this tremendous upside, you will face fierce competition and run the risk of having wasted time, fuel and a large entrance fee only to come home with a t-shirt.
Try inshore fishing. If you don't have a boat, there are still ways to make money fishing in Hawaii. Spearfishing for commercially viable inshore species, such as octopus, is one way to limit your equipment costs while making money. Spearfishing can also yield the occasional surprise as larger pelagic species, such as yellowfin tuna, often wander close to shore in Hawaiian waters. Using a cast net or fishing pole to target fish like tilapia and moi can also yield a salable catch.
Target fish for the aquarium trade. Catching fish for sale in pet shops and aquarium retailers is a big business in the islands. Hawaii's beautiful reefs make it an excellent location for catching aquarium-bound fish. Many reef fish are protected or off limits, but others like the yellow tang, Hawaii's most valuable inshore species, are abundant.

How to Earn a Second Income (5 Steps)

Determine your availability. Before you can begin to earn a second income you must determine the amount of time you have to dedicate to doing so. Are you available nights or only weekends? Do you have family or additional work obligations that will affect the amount of time you can put into earning a second income? All of these questions should be answered before moving forward.
Determine your interests. Finding a second source of income is relatively easy but finding one that you enjoy doing is another story. Determine what you like to spend your free time doing and research opportunities. For example, if you like dogs you can start a part time dog walking business or if you like the beach you can lifeguard on the weekends. While it would be more enjoyable to be doing something that is of interest to you, you may have to settle for something that is not.
Research opportunities. Look on the internet, newspapers and local job sites. Don't be afraid to let people know that you are looking for a source of second income. Also, consider starting your own business based on the needs of those around you.
Be prepared to give up some of your free time. Working for a second income may seem easy but requires you to give up extra curricular activities and events. Determine how important a second income is to you and be prepared to temporarily decline invitations to parties and events.
Dedicate yourself. A second job may seem secondary to everything else around you but your employer will feel otherwise. Give the same amount of dedication and respect that you give to your primary job and you will reap the benefits.

How to Earn The Spring Green Daisy Petal

The spring green Daisy petal is the part of the Girl Scout law that means 'Considerate and Caring.' This is a very important lesson for girls to learn.
You can have your girls make cards to donate to a nursing home. You can all deliver them together as a troop and spend some time with seniors there.
When it's time to sell cookies you can have your troop participate in 'Operation Cookie Drop,' where customers purchase a box of cookies but the box gets collected and donated to military troops around the world.
Talk to your girls about small considerations like holding the door for someone, walking the dog for a neighbor, or being a good friend to someone.

How to Make Money With a Pilot's License (4 Steps)

Obtain a commercial pilot job. When many people picture pilots, they think of the uniformed men and women who fly them to and from vacation. If you would like to work for one of the major airlines, flying passengers around the globe, apply for, and train with, one of these companies. If you select this option, however, expect to spend a large amount of time away from home.
Fly charter planes. Work for a smaller company–or as your own boss–by flying charter planes. Set up a charter plane company in a major city or tourist destination, or apply to work with a company that is already established in one of these locations. In a job of this type, you will fly on a pay-per-flight basis, serving smaller groups of people.
Join the military. Put your pilot’s license to use serving the needs of your country as a member of the air force or other military branch. If you select this option, you will still need to complete basic military training, but you will likely be able to advance quickly as you already have this uncommon credential.
Teach flight instruction. Help others acquire their wings as well by working as a flight instructor for a private or government company. In many states, you will be required to acquire a license to work in this capacity even though you already have your pilot’s credentials.
