How to Earn The Yellow Daisy Petal

The yellow Daisy petal is the part of the Girl Scout law that means 'friendly and helpful.' This is a very important lesson for girls to learn.
One thing you can try is to encourage friendship through Girl Scouting. You can pair off the girls with other girls they wouldn't normally play with - and have them work together on a craft.
You can talk to the girls about being friendly to others outside of the troop. Ask the girls to try and make a new friend that week. They can also befriend a new kid in school.
For the helpful side of this petal - you can make the girls small pieces of paper that say 'a girl scout was here' or 'a Daisy was here.' Tell them to do something (or a few somethings) around the house without being asked. They can leave their mark with the piece of paper.
